Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is my passion. I love my job and I love helping people achieve their goals, no matter how big or small, young or old. I have gained extensive experience in several different physiotherapy domains. These areas include private practice, inpatient hospital, aged care, home visits, hydrotherapy, and clinical pilates.

To complement this, I have also undertaken further post-graduate training to excel my skills in exercise prescription, taping, hydrotherapy, clinical pilates, dry needling, as well as falls and balance risk assessment and management.

Although I enjoy most areas that the physiotherapy profession has to offer, my biggest interest is in the treatment of aged related arthropathies, including pre- and post-surgical management. I also have a strong interest in tendinopathies affecting the lumbopelvic and lower limb regions.

Matt has a special interest in working with patients to manage osteoarthritis and other ongoing joint problems.

Matt can provide the following services:

  • Hands-on treatment

  • Manipulation

  • Mobilisation

  • Dry needling

  • Massage therapy

  • Home exercise programs

  • Gym programs

  • Falls and balance assessment and treatment

  • Home visits

Matt is available for appointments on Tuesdays and Saturday mornings.

Meet Our Physiotherapist

Matt completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of South Australia.  Since graduating, he has gained extensive, hands-on experience in a range of areas within private practice, inpatient hospitals and the aged care sector.

He has also undertaken post-graduate training in hydrotherapy, dry needling and clinical pilates.

Outside of work I have many interests. Most recently, my wife and I have welcomed a new baby girl, Olivia Mae, into the world. We honestly couldn’t be prouder and it has given our lives a whole new meaning. In between watching the Wiggles and reading Peppa Pig books to my daughter, I enjoy keeping fit and anything to do with the AFL.
